Find and Stop MS Antivirus Processes
- Press “Alt+Ctrl+Delete“, then click on “Task Manager”. You can also launch the Task Manager instantly if you press “Ctrl + Shift + ESC” simultaneously.

- Click on Search.
- Finally, remove the wanted files
Find and Remove MS Antivirus Registry Entries
- First of all, back up your registry in case something goes wrong!
1. Click Start, click Run, type %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe, and then click OK.
2. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Create a restore point, and then click Next.
3. On the Create a Restore Point page, type a name for the restore point and then click Create
4. After the restore point has been created, click Close. - Press the “Start” button and then click “Run”.
- Type in “regedit” into the “Open:” field. Then click on the OK button.

- Now it opens the Registry Editor.
- Navigate through the subkeys and edit the following MS Antivirus registry entries. Or, you can press “Ctrl + F” to locate the subkey that contains the value you want to edit. (F3 to Find Next)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\antivirus - Close the registry editor and reboot your computer. If something appears wrong after you change the registry, you can restore the registry from the backup you?ve created.
